Jocelyne Fallait Awarded Pastry Chef of the Year
Abu Dhabi, February 20, 2014 – Of the most prestigious food and beverage industry awards in the Middle East, Gourmet Abu Dhabi Star Awards is certainly the crème de la crème and the most fiercely contested, granted by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, these awards recognise the ability to innovate as well as consistently deliver top-class service throughout the previous year.
Beach Rotana proudly claimed a sweet victory as Jocelyne Fallait was awarded Pastry Chef of the Year. The 2014 ceremony of the Gourmet Abu Dhabi Stars Awards was held on the 19th of February, The other ‘stars’ of the evening representing Beach Rotana were also applauded as finalists in several other categories, namely:
- Manuel Santos - Food and Beverage Manager of the Year
- Grant Reid (Prego's) - Restaurant Manager of the Year
- Indigo - Regional Cuisine Restaurant of the Year

Jocelyne Fallait of Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi proudly and emotionally accepted the prestigious award and shared ‘Working hard has rewarded me with this incredible award. Gourmet Abu Dhabi 2014 has proven successful for Beach Rotana, certainly upholding the hotel’s reputation as one of Abu Dhabi’s top culinary venues. The award-winning global seafood restaurant Finz proudly hosted the 6th edition of the culinary food festival welcoming Two-Michelin-Starred International Chef Christophe and Jean-Luc Chapel, a passionate renowned sommelier from Domaines Paul Jaboulet Aîné.
